LATER SK8R

Happy Saturday everyone!
As promised, I'm back for another RAD preview from The Greeting Farm!   We are SO excited to bring you another preview today, a new 4x6 sheet featuring a Miss Anya AND a My Guy Ian: "Later Sk8R"  This adorable and hip new set will be available for purchase beginning on Sunday, August 1st!  It's been a WHILE since we did either one of these beloved characters in rubber, so the BUZZ is all about the Farm that this is one FUN set!

Today we are also teaming up, Farmers and Team Anya alike for another sample soiree!  Today it's OUR turn to play along w/ Team Anya using a FABULOUS Saturday Sketch challenge by Pam!

Here's the sketch:
And here is my card using Miss Anya SK8R. I switched things up a bit with the sketch cause I wanted her to have a ramp on which to roll! If you have teens this set is a must have. It's absolutely perfect for that difficult age group.  The little skate board (and the sentiment) is in the set too.  I stamped it on black CS and cut it out. I then stamped again on pink and just cut along the inside of the lines.  This skull digi paper is from the same CRAZY BUT CUTE kit I used for yesterday's card.  Love that digi paper!!!
Be sure to head on over to Club Anya & Friends for all the details of how to play along this week, and be sure to visit ALL the DT's blogs because ONE LUCKY COMMENTER on the Club Anya and Friend's blog today will WIN THIS SET!!!

Our awesome DT 'force' is waiting for you:

Thanks again for stopping  by today and we'll see you back TOMORROW NIGHT at 7pm CST for a one hour chat on PCP, our HUGE customer Blog Hop on the TGF blog, and we cannot WAIT to celebrate TGF's second birthday with you!!!

MMMM ICE CREAM!

I can't think of a better way to cool down (and don't we need that right now) than to eat some ice cream.

I needed a holder for an ice cream shop gift certificate and at first was going to make a card.  As I was rummaging around my "stuff" I found this little tin and thought hmmmm just the right size!

I used the ice cream cone image from the ARTFUL INKABLES SPOT ON set to paper piece the image and used the Linen Closet papers again.  Told you they would be seen often! This was just as easy as a card to make and it adds a little something extra special for the person receiving the gift card.

Thanks so much for visiting today and stay cool!

FLOSSY FARM FRESH FRIDAY!

Happy Friday everyone! Can you believe July is almost over. I haven't even gotten flowers planted along my walkway yet which is something I normally do in May.  I think I will just have to go with marigolds (for fall) and call it a day!

This week's FARM FRESH FRIDAY CHALLENGE IS "Don't forget to FLOSS". Meaning,  use embroidery floss on your card or project.  If you click on the photo you will see I used Floss along the edges of the umbrella, the handle and on the sentiment.  I love this image from the JOURNEY set, so cute it melts my heart.  I also adore these papers I got from Joanns called Linen Closet, they are so soft and pretty. You may be seeing it a lot here.

I have a couple of friends who were moving away so I made this little table decoration for the farewell party.  It is pretty small but I filled it with Hershey kisses.  I just adhered a little box on the back of the waves/umbrella.  You can also see all the pop dots I used for this one.

Didja hear the news that TGF is turning two? Click on the badge to the right to sign up for the customer blog hop.  It's gonna be loads of fun ( I always love seeing the creative ways TGF stamps are used), and as always lots of prizes!

SEW, WHAT'S NEW?

I know I have said this before but Kim Teasdale is one of my top stamping idols.  Because of the quality and creativity of her work I always leave her blog so inspired.  Why am I mentioning this? Cause I used her idea for today's project of course.  Check out her creation HERE
Kim's background made the perfect sewing (or picnic) basket, doncha think?  The current challenge at the ARTFUL INKABLES BLOG is to use some type of sewing on your project (actually followed the rules this time LOL!). I used the new SEW YOU set from Artful INKables which includes the sentiment.  I have a sewing basket that looks just like this that I got years ago from Longaberger.  Let me tell ya those things last for-ev-er and did you ever see a pic of their building? Way cool - it looks like one of their baskets.

This challenge is Sew Easy, click HERE for the deets.

Thanks so much for visiting with me today and a great week!

LIFE IS LIKE A MERRY GO ROUND!

Life is like a merry go round, painted horses riding up and down  Music takes you and your gone again, crazy circles never seem to end - Crazy Circles by Bad Company

He he, who knew there was a merry go round song? I didn't till I googled it, and by Bad Company no less!

This week's FARM FRESH FRIDAY  DIGI-KNOW CHALLENGE is to use a digi image and try a new technique.  I don't know what happened (well, yes I do, I am a little goofy and a lot ADD) but I read the digi part and didn't pay attention to the new technique part.  I think cause I was so excited about trying to make a carousel that I missed the second part!  At any rate, the minute I saw this MARINA NEIRA CAROUSEL DIGI I knew I had to make a carousel for it.  I think it is pretty cool, if I do say so myself.
This is the cutest MN image ever! Unfortunately, I didn't think to make it spin, maybe the next one....
I will have a tutorial and templates up for the carousel, I am just behind at the moment.  Don't know what happened to summer being slow and easy, crazy circles as the song goes LOL! I am as busy as ever, but I have time off in August and hope to catch up with several tutorials at that time. Thanks for being patient!

Hope you will give the challenge a try. Digi's are so easy to use and so versatile.  Unlike me though, please follow the rules he, he, ahem, (embarrassed laugh).
Have a great weekend!

SEW NICE!

Hope your having a good weekend.  It has finally cooled off around here so I certainly am!
I made a little sewing kit using a new set from ARTFUL INKABLES called SEW YOU.  Though I don't have much any time for it anymore, I used to make nearly all of my clothes so I really love this set.
The case is an SVG file of a CD CASE that I made a bit smaller and cut with my cricut.  It has a little tab that tucks in to close the back.
I purchased an inexpensive sewing kit and made my own background for it with a little tab to slide the tiny scissor into.  I think this would make a nice bridal shower favor or a cute gift card holder for an avid seamstress.
The big flower behind the image was made using another SVG file called DOILIE SHAPES SET 1.  Digi paper was used (A beautiful life from The Digi Chick)so I printed a different pattern each for the front and the back, then cut 4 of my file (#6) at about 3 inches in diameter.

It was then crumpled, opened and crumpled several times till it was soft and well, very crumpled!

It was then unfolded and then folded as shown, pushing in the lower part of the circle. A little glue was added to the inside and then it was flattened just on the pointed edge.

The four were assembled as shown and attached to the sewing kit front.  The stamped image was cut out with a circle nestie and placed in the center of the circle with dimensionals.

The current THINK INK CHALLENGE is to use either real or faux sewing on your card or project.  Sew easy to do, sew why don't you give it a try!
* You are not required to use AI stamps, but if you have them, we'd love to see you use them! **IF YOU USE AI STAMPS, YOU GET 2 ENTRIES FOR YOUR CREATION! JUST ENTER YOUR NAME/LINK TWICE ON MR. LINKY!!!

* You have until Monday, July 19 , 2010, midnight Pacific Standard Time to link your creation to this post. A winner will be chosen Tuesday, July 20, 2010 to win a
GRAB BAG of AI STAMPS!

See ya soon!

I'M MELTING.......

It has been so hot here the past few days and I haven't felt like doing anything but lying on the couch and vegging. Thankfully, the coolest place in our house is my craft room so I got a couple cards done for today's FARM FRESH FRIDAY CHALLENGE.

We have a super sketch from Farmer Mary to work with and I liked it so much that I made two cards using it.
I know I am completely nuts but when I saw MONDAY and WEDNESDAY the sassy new creeps from TGF, I immediately thought of their chubby bubble heads popping out of an ice cream cone.  Weird huh?

I ended up making a cupcake card first with a little pull mechanism (for which I am working on a tutorial) that pops her up.
This is the ice cream one which didn't really come out as well as I planned but as the creeps would say "whatever" he he.
Randi always makes the coolest pink hair so I decided to give it a try, looks a little like strawberry ice cream. It is definitely questionable as to whether this little chickie is sweet or not.  Does anyone know why I can't ever take an accurate photo of purple? It never seems to come out the way it looks IRL.  I fooled around with it in photo shop but it still doesn't look like the color that I actually used.
I used the same sentiment on the inside of both cards.  My daughter has lots of friends for which these would be appropriate.

Keep cool!

Let's grab some tasty waves, and go on a hop to see the new releases from Artful INKables!

If you haven't come here from JOY'S BLOG, then you will want to start at the Artful Inkables Blog so you don't miss anything along the way. You are going to love this release, we are releasing 2 fabulous stamp sets, you will not be disappointed! Be sure to follow us all the way to the end and make sure to leave a comment on everyone's blog, you never know which blog we'll be choosing a winner from!

This month's Blog Hop winner will receive both of the brand new stamp sets plus a set of five new aquatic charms!
You will have until Friday, July 9th at midnight Eastern Standard Time to comment on all the design team blogs for a chance at the blog hop goodies!
Today, I'm showing you a card made with a new set called SPOT ON SUMMER and it instantly became one of my favs. The set is chock full of images you can either use buttons or dots with.
I fell in love with these little turtles and knew I wanted them swimming in the waves.  This turned out to be a spinning, slider, shaker card so EVERYTHING moves.

There are pink shaker beads in the center and the circle spins. The turtles are on a slider element so they also slide around the circle as it spins. Gotta tell ya it is so much fun to play with!

The next stop on the hop is ALICIA.

Thanks so much for swimming by and run, don't walk, over to ARTFUL INKABLES to get these awesome new stamps!

Cha dude!
