CHRISTMAS IN JULY
My husband and I were supposed to go away ALONE together to belatedly celebrate our anniversary but our b-sitter (hope your feeling better mom)got sick. The upside is that I got the whole day to play in my craft room. Woo hoo!!!
This is another in the new set of Miss Anya Dressy from The Greeting Farm. As soon as I saw her I thought gingerbread house. My mind often works in mysterious ways, I don't even bother to analyse any more. Anyway, I saw that the Cupcake Craft Challenge was to do a christmas theme card and since I have a little time......
I went searching for some holiday digi paper and found this awesome G-bread house (yes, I know she is a little too tall for the door) from Scrapbook Max. I bought and downloaded it only to find that it was in a strange format and I couldn't get it to open. Talk about frustrating. I went back and found that it is part of a digital scrapbook program and I could download a trial version which I did. I have been wanting to try digi scrapbooking ever since I discovered digi paper but I am not that good with photoshop and don't have the time to learn right now. I tried the scrapbook max and it seems pretty cool, it may be just the thing for a beginner like me. I will let you know if I end up buying, it is pretty inexpensive.
At any rate I love how this turned out. It is pretty big for a card but I think I am going to try to find a mini wreath and some fake peppermints to make it more 3D and put it in a a little glass memory box for a christmas decoration.
Miss Anya Dressy will be available from TGF on August 1st. Isn't she adorable?

I'm glad you told us how you got that great gingerbread house - thanks! It must be the way you color your Anyas or something, but they look SO MUCH better than most... I think putting this in a memory box to enjoy year after year is a great idea!
