MAGNETIC CHERRIES AND A THURDAY HIDDEN FREEBIE

Hey everyone, countin down to the weekend? Me too! We have finally been having a little sunshine and I am looking forward to doing some much needed gardening.

This week I decided to make something practical for myself. I made several of these magnetic post-it holders for gifts last christmas but didn't get around to making one for myself. When I saw Lindsay's Stamp Stuff had this sweet cherry stamp I knew it would be perfect for a fridge post-it holder for our kitchen.

I found the idea at SCS and they are super easy to make so I will
give a brief description.

WHAT YOU NEED
Chipboard coaster
Magnetic clip
Paper and stamps to decorate
Post it notes

I layered some decorative papers together and attached it to my chipboard coaster.

Next, I used the SU scalloped circle punch as the base, layered more paper and attached my cherries. The whole thing was glued to the metal clip with my E-6000 glue. I would recommend a good craft glue because of the metal and the fact that you will be handling this part often so you will want a good solid attachment.
I didn't glue the metal clip onto the back of the chipboardbut you may want to do it so it doesn't fall off when you remove a piece of notepaper.

Here it is without the note pad. These make great gifts, everyone (teachers, riding instructors, etc.,) loved them.

Check out the other DT's Blogs for some great projects and another hidden digi freebie and Lindsay is still running her July special - buy $5 worth of stamps and get one stamp free!

This is not only cute but practical! I 'm always running around trying to find something to write on especially when the phone rings It's not as if I have never stratigically placed note pads by the telephones. That darn "note pad fairie" just keeps reclaiming them! ;o) Tracy

So genius! I love it! Now, I don't think I would need a post it holder, but I would use just the cherry stamp on a clip I love having decorative clips on my fridge to hang paper and such! Well done!
