SUMMER BOREDOM BUSTER and A NEW HIDDEN FREEBIE!

Just a note before I get to my Thursday post. A super humongous THANK YOU to all that hopped along with us and for all your wonderfully kind comments!!! If you left a comment yesterday be sure to check The Greeting Farm Blog to see if you are a winner! Good luck!)

If your kids are like mine you are already hearing "mom, I'm bored".
Lindsay from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff asked if the DT would like to use her stamps to make some mommy and me projects and I jumped at the chance to keep my rugr...I mean darling children occupied if just for a little while.

I found these cute decorate-your-own flower pots at Pat Catans for only a dollar. In place of the coloring images that were included in the pot kit, I had my son choose a stamp that he liked from Lindsay's collection. My son wants to either build robots or be a rockstar when he grows up. Today he was leaning toward rockstar so he chose this awesome guitar image. We printed it and then placed the paper that came with the pot on top and used it as a guide to cut out the shape. I also made it a little bit smaller so that we could layer some blue card stock behind it.

Ian colored the image and then he sponged some bright colors all around it. We also personalized it by cutting out his name on my cricut. I think he did a great job. This was his quote "It was really fun coloring the guitars and most of all sponging better than mommy". Which was true, I showed him how to sponge and his side looked much better than mine:).

Lindsay has some beautiful new stamps and she is also offering a July special of buy $5.00 worth of stamps and get one free. And the DT is still playing hide the FREEBIE so check out the other blogs (including a couple of super talented new members) and get yours. If you haven't tried digital it is a great way to try before you buy.
