Last week my sweet, rosey cheeked, 7 and a half pound baby girl turned 16. 16!!!!!!!!! All those trite expressions about time are so true. I am proud of her though as she is turning into a lovely young woman.
This weeks FARM FRESH FRIDAY CHALLENGE is to incorporate a number into your project. Perfect for a sweet sixteen card though this one was made not for her but for me.... I should get some of the credit right?
All the lessons, arguments, do this, don't do that, have probably made her FEEL like she has been in a cage and not in our loving protection. FRIDAY, from the Creeper Crew, was used since my daughter is seldom seen without her ipod and earphones (thus blocking out all the lessons, arguments, etc., ha ha).
I am of two minds on letting her grow up. Part of me wants her to soar....
And part wants to keep her locked up with me forever (or at least till she is 21) LOL! Sooo I made two different insides for this one depending on my mood.
Thanks so much for visiting and a huge congrats to the new Critter Crew! They are an amazingly talented group so go check them out!

Ohh kim just so ADORABLE.
How creative!! Love everything about it! :D
Such a lovely card!
This is SO cute! I know my DD is only 5 but I know I'll get to the point you are at someday and I'll feel the same way!
hahaha, too cute! My daughter is only 4 but I'm already terrified for the teenage years, oy!
Haha, love that second sentiment!! Such a wonderful card to capture the feelings and emotions behind the teenager and parent relationship.
Another fantastic creation, Kim!!
Kim< this is so fabulous! That cage is amazing! I know exactly how you feel about wanting them to soar and wanting to hold on! Great card! :-)Traci
Kim thats beautiful love the idea too so amazing!
love tasha xx
I love the humor and creativity of your card. As the mother of a 22 year old girl and 19 year old boy, I know exactly what your going through. It only gets harder the older they get, and your not around all the time to protect them and help them make the right decisions.
LOL! So cute! Wonderful coloring as always, and such a fun way to do a window card!
