DO YOU KNOW JACK?

This is going to be a busy blogging week so I hope you have time to hang a bit!

I am back with another TGF Preview...as it's June 29th and we are CREEPIN' up on our July 1st RELEASE at the GREETING FARM!
Today we have a digital stamp preview to compliment some VERY creepy stuff you may have seen over on the Club Anya and Friends Blog today....if you haven't seen, CHECK IT OUT! They previewed TWO new Creepers coming to you in RUBBAH on July 1st, "Monday Creeper and "Wednesday Creeper".

On that note, I bring you "Creeper Jack"! This dapper dude is a little bit punk, a little bit emo, and a LOT CUTE (don't you DIG that hair?!?!) and will be released as a digi on July 1st.

I have been seeing the MAGICAL MARQUEE cards a lot lately and wanted to try one. Jack seemed the perfect guy for the job. There is a great tutorial by JANINE TINKLENBERG found HERE.

The card opens to reveal whatever you want on the inside, it is pretty cool.  Mine is a little off in the center because I didn't have the right size punch but I still think it came out ok.

There's lots more to see on the TGF Blog today including the CREEPY creations of my teammates:
FARMERS
CRITTER CREW

See you back with all the details for Thursday's BIG release and for LOTS of Farm Fresh fun on Friday, too! It's been quite an exciting week on the Farm and we're so glad to have you along for the ride!

HAVE AN ICE DAY!

It has been so hot the past couple days and of course our AC died and we are waiting to get an estimate on a new furnace/ac combo.  I am sure the sticker shock will have me curbing my hobby spending and I am not looking forward to that but we are melting. Since I can't be cool I decided to think cool with my next project.

It's preview time again at The Greeting Farm and first up, we have brand new Chibis from artist Jessica Hymas!  It seems that our little resident Chib has become QUITE the world traveler! These brand new digis will be released on July 1st and just might be the cutest chibis yet!

There are FIVE new chibis in all, but today I have the pleasure of introducing you to Alaska Chibi!   Isn't she cute? You know I just had to make her an igloo to live in.  I used THIS picture from the web to make a template and used my score-it to make the ice blocks.

The TGF Farmers have a LOT more to show you today on the TGF Blog, and one lucky winner will take home ALL FIVE of these babies, so if you haven't made it over there yet, be sure to check it out!

The Greeting Farm has TONS of previews to bring you all week long, so be sure to stop by every day this week between the TGF Blog and Club Anya & Friends to see what's on the horizon...JULY 1st is coming VERY soon and we are PUMPED!

See you back here tomorrow with another Preview that you will definitely want to see, and make sure to check out the rest of my DT mates and the Critter Crew as they have previews today for you, too! :

RED, WHITE AND BLUE!

Hope you all are having a great weekend!  Hard to believe it is going to be the Fourth of July next weekend. As always summer is so short and time just flies by.  I just want to grab it by the neck and squeeeeeze till it slows down a bit!

In honor of the Fourth, ARTFUL INKABLES THINK INK CHALLANGE is to make something other than a  card that is red, white and blue.
I used the BUG AND BLOSSOM MANDALA set and a template and paper from THE DIGI CHICK to make this wall hanging. The stars are really cool IRL, they are two-side and are sort of puffed up in the middle from alternating folds.

If you would like to play along (and why wouldn't you) here are some of the details;

You are not required to use AI stamps, but if you have them, we'd love to see you use them! **IF YOU USE AI STAMPS, YOU GET 2 ENTRIES FOR YOUR CREATION! JUST ENTER YOUR NAME/LINK TWICE ON MR. LINKY!!!

FABRIC FUN!

If you are looking for my FARM FRESH FRIDAY POST please scroll down to the next post - thanks:)

I have a tutorial up over at THE HYBRID CHICK on how I made these projects using digital papers/embellishments and inkjet printer fabric, if you would like to check it out.

U R A STAR!

I have had no sleep at all this week.  My daughter went to band camp half way across the US and even though I know she is safe and enjoying herself immensely, I still worry.  Don't know what I am going to  do when she goes off to college, may have to try prozac LOL!  At any rate, I am so proud of her and I think she is a star so I made this card in her honor.

This week's FARM FRESH FRIDAY CHALLENGE is to use this awesome sketch from Farmer CINDY HAFFNER.
I used sweetie pie Amelia from the MY FAVORITE THING set and flipped the sketch on it's side. Hope  to see your lovely creations in the gallery!

Thanks so much for visiting!

CLEAN AND SIMPLE!

Happy Father's Day to all you daddies out there! My husband chose to spend his day with us seeing Toy Story 3(very cute movie), what a great guy! I was thinking this morning that I am so grateful that my kids have a dad that cares so much about them, spends time with them and works really hard to make sure they have everything they need and much much, more!

The current THINK INK CHALLENGE is is brought to you by Ann Vento and she wants you to:

CHALLENGE YOURSELF: Use a new technique, go out of your comfort zone, make something completely different than you normally would make

I NEVER do clean and simple so this is definitely WAY OUT of my comfort zone! I used the GREEK GARDENS SET from ARTFUL INKABLES to make this simple black and white card.   I love the look of CAS but am not very good at it which is why I don't  often do it. I not only limited my layers and embellishments but I also (gasp) left the image un-colored!

If you would like to play along check out the details HERE.

Also, don't forget about the current Twilight Challenge going on.  We are in week #3 and there have been some amazing designs.

All the info for the Twilight Challenge can be found HERE!

WHO'S GOT THE BUTTON?

Did you ever play that game when you were little? I was so shy when I was young that I hated playing that type of game but when I see my kids playing it looks like I missed out on a lot of fun!
This week's FARM FRESH FRIDAY CHALLENGE is to BUTTON IT! Use at least three buttons on your project.  Easy peasy and who doesn't love buttons?

I totally cased (meaning copied it exactly) this card that I found in SCRAPBOOKS ETC by LISA STORMS Thanks Lisa (I couldn't find her blog if she has one) for some great inspiration!
You can see her cute card on the right hand side inset.  I recently discovered this mag and even though I don't do much scrapbooking I found it to have lots of fun inspiration and other projects besides SBs.

I have not felt like going down to my craft room(I think it is the nice weather, I want to be outside!) and when I saw this card I thought it would be perfect background for CHEEKY NURSE and it was so easy to make.  Perfect for a mojo-less crafter and a great card for my sis who has had some health issues lately.

I think I'll go play a game of Who's got the button with my kids!
Have a great weekend!

WHAT A TREAT!

Happy Thursday to y'all!
If you didn't know about PAPER CUBED, my monthly 3D challenge blog, you should hop over and check it out. This month's challenge is to make some type of treat container and the design team has some amazing samples.

I made this cute CAKE BOX to try out a cutting file made by MARI from THE DIGI CHICK. The file comes in several forms but I used the SVG file with my Sure Cuts A Lot software and my cricut.

I actually used this to put a gift card to a nail salon for a friend who is having a baby (the kid shouldn't get ALL the gifts, right?)so it wasn't a candy treat but a treat for the recipient nontheless.

You have till the end of the month to get your entries in and there is a fun prize!

NJOY!

Hope your having a nice weekend!
When I first saw the PICK A POCKET PIECE SET  from ARTFUL INKABLES, I thought it looked like a pocket from my kid's overalls so I went looking for a template.  I found this really cute card by AMY SHEFFER.  Holy cow is she ever talented make sure you check out her blog! She didn't have a template so I made my own based on her card and description.

A little tag was made to tuck inside the front pocket with the little gecko from the set sitting on top.  The inside has plenty of room to write a sweet note too.

Have a super week and as always thanks so much for bloppin by!

A QUICK GRAD CARD AND AN ALBINO DEER?

Happy weekend to y'all!  I had to make a quick grad card for a party tonight so I went straight to SCS for some inspiration and found a great one.

I had some scraps left over from yesterday's post and the colors fit the blue and gold school colors of the graduate so I made a simple front....

with a fun pop up grad cap inside. It only took about 45 minutes to make and was pretty easy. I got the template and instructions from EXTREME CARDS AND PAPERCRAFTING BLOG. Awesome inspiration there, you know how I love 3D, and she has some incredible work.
Have to run, a million things to do today but I will leave you with this pic of our resident albino deer.
Isn't she (we think "she" cause we haven't seen antlers) cool? We hadn't seen her since last October so were worried she didn't make it through the last hunting season. I was coming home from work a couple days ago, saw her in the field across from our house, and RAN to get the camera. We think she is pretty magical!

Make yourself a good one!

This week's FARM FRESH FRIDAY is another sketch challenge provided by the amazingly talented MERCY KERIN. She always comes up with such fun ones!

I went a little masculine on this one cause I thought it would be cute for my son to give to his dad for Father's Day.  I used Ollie from the MY FAVORITE THING SET,  isn't he just the cutest?

Have a great weekend!

ONLY FOUR MORE DAYS!

Woo Hoo, the kids are almost out of school! I so look forward to summer, things are so much more relaxed and you wanna know the best part? No more checking math homework!!!! It isn't that I am bad at math but jeesh, every night 30 problems and we always seem to be doing it at the end of the night when I am dead tired. I look forward to the end of the year just as much as my kids do.

Today, I have used the wonderful Bug and Blossom Mandala set from Artful INKables to make a card. Sometimes I don't have time to color and this set is great both colored in or ink only. I have had this My Minds Eye paper for a while and was waiting for the perfect stamp which turned out to be this one.
I even had time to do the inside too!
Lots of fun goin on at the ARTFUL INKABLES BLOG. There is the current Think Ink challenge and a whole month of Twilight inspired challenges, check them out!
Have a great week!

A BEJEWELED FARM FRESH FRIDAY!

Happy Friday, hope you have some fun planned for this weekend. I have to get out and tend to my much neglected garden. I have been invaded by Canadian thistle and it is making me crazy. If you have any tips on getting rid of it without using pesticides please let me know. We have well water and I don't like using chemicals if I don't have to so at this point I am using the good old fashioned hand weeding method. Oh my aching back!

This weeks FFF challenge is to make something using a piece of jewelry as inspiration (and don't forget the bling!). Since I don't wear anything except my wedding/engagement ring, I went on an Etsy search and found this wonderful piece by bionicunicorn. I love the old fashioned charm and vintage feel, if I did wear jewelry I would have bought this in a second.
Obviously, I used the lacy butterfly and peach color for my easel card. The butterfly was cut out using my cricut and a free SVG file made by the amazingly talented and generous PENNY DUNCAN. You can find it HERE. CHEEKY BEAUTY is ready to take off on a magical ride.
Hope to see your sparkling projects, have a great weekend!
